A Study on the Practice of Preventive Health Behavior and Medical Care Utilization of Housewives in Rural Area After Execution of Medical Insurance

Abstract
|
|
|
This study was carried out from Oct. 3, to Nov. 10, 1991. Subjects of investigation were 175 housewives under 49 ages who resided Iiaimi4Viyun and Kobuk-Myun, Seosan-Kun, Choongnam-Do. It was surveyed that after execution of Medical Insurance, how about was the degree of practice of preventive health behavior and the medical care utilization of housewives in rural area. This survey was put into practice with questionnaire.
Results are as follows.
1. Vocation of subjects was mostly agriculture and many of them were under elementary school gradurates in scholarly attainments.
2. 31.4 % of housewives responded that they were in execution of preventive health behavior for her and her families.
3. Among respondentes, most of them, 20.6% had chronic disease of obstetrics and gynecology.
4. 11.4 % off housewives had smoking habits before and most of them were in forties.
5. 70.8 % of housewives responded that after execution of Medical Insurance, their medical care utilization times were increased.
6. After execution of Medical Insurance, 76.6 % of housewives were satisfied with medical care service.
